i was drawn to the ocean

i've had the crisis candle lit all day today. i'm probably going to have it lit constantly, whenever i'm awake and at home, for the rest of the week. i don't really want to go into detail as to why at this time, but if any of you would also be willing to light candles or send positive vibes/energy, i would greatly appreciate it, and i'm sure Milena would too.

John came over tonight and replaced the serpentine belt on Milena's car. Thank you to kerinda and family for the use of your garage so he'd have light. :-) The part was only $18 and we gave John some gas money for coming up here to do it. So it was a LOT cheaper than if we'd had to have it towed and then worked on in a shop.

Speaking of John, he's been seeing someone, a gal named Catherine, for several months now. They've gotten pretty serious. He's had dinner with her and her parents. Catherine is a restaurant manager (i think) and has 7 (!!!) cats.

My great-aunt Helen had over 40 cats. She was schizophrenic. The cats lived in the barn, and she made them meals like hamburgers and soup.

i made pork chops, diced seasoned potatoes, and glazed carrots for dinner. It was teh yum.

i have so much knitting that i need to be working on. i think i'm going to put my current project (a hat for my mom's friend Nick) on hold because i've got to get a couple things done for Grandma Gertrude by the 27th and i'd rather not be rushing to complete them the day before they need to be done. Then, i can just pick back up on Nick's hat.

OMFG, whatever WGUC is playing is *skipping*. That is annoying as FUCK. And is sure as hell isn't helping my headache.
