Well, Milena's financial aid woes seem to have gone from bad to worse.  She dropped off that letter of appeal as well as her documentation today, and was told that she won't get an answer until late September!  Classes started this past Monday!  What is she supposed to do in the meantime?!?!  The jerk had the nerve to tell her she could take out a private loan.  AS IF.  i feel so badly for her, and there's nothing i can do.  i feel so helpless, and i know she does too, and it just sucks.  Please keep praying/sending positive energy her way.  This HAS to work out, it just has to.  Somehow.

Today, Milena got a letter saying that she wasn't going to get any financial aid this school year because she didn't have enough credit hours behind her.  She doesn't have enough credit hours behind her because she applied and was APPROVED FOR a MEDICAL WITHDRAWAL from school last Winter due to her cancer.  What. the. FUCK.

She is appealing the decision.  i am helping her write a letter and she will enclose documentation of her medical problems,etc.  If you have any good thoughts to spare, please send them her way.  Light a candle or say a prayer or something that this will get ironed out in her favour.  If it doesn't, she simply won't be able to finish school.  Period.  Thanks in advance.
