i was drawn to the ocean

So we tried the acorn squash tonight.  Milena was the only one who liked it.  i thought the flavour was okay (with the butter and brown sugar, mind you!) but i just couldn't deal with the texture.  Next!

The kids had a snow day today.  What a joke.  Needless to say, my nerves are a bit frazzled.  It's been a pretty good day, though, overall.  i made scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast.  The kids had sandwiches, chips, and bananas for lunch; i had a Healthy Choice entree.  i took care of my student loan payment, and called in a payment to my doctor's office.  i've gotten a LOT of laundry done!  i did the 2-mile walk.  So a pretty productive day.

i'll be starting dinner soon.  Tonight we're having pork chops, garlic mashed potatoes, and we're going to try the acorn squash that i got at Kroger the other day.  i'm looking forward to trying it.  i think.

So i bought this acorn squash today.  And i have no idea what to do with it.  Does anyone have any suggestions or favourite ways to cook it?  i know i could just google it but i am looking for anecdotal information - - i wanna know how YOU guys like to eat acorn squash!
